We're based in Pleasant Grove and work throughout Utah County and South Salt Lake County. That includes Pleasant Grove, Lindon, American Fork, Orem, Provo, Lehi, Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Saratoga Springs, Draper, Riverton, Bluffdale, Herriman, South Jordan, and Sandy. Same-day site visits are usually available in our home valley.
Yes. JTL Construction is a fully insured Utah residential general contractor. We pull permits in your city and follow Utah building code on every project. We're happy to provide proof of insurance and our license number before you sign anything.
Custom Trex composite decks are our signature service — we're a Trex material and rep partner. We also build covered patios, pergolas, full basement finishes, bathroom and kitchen remodels, additions, and exterior projects. About half of our annual work is decks; the rest is interior remodels and additions.
Pricing depends heavily on size, materials, and site conditions, but most of our custom Trex composite decks fall in the $20,000–$60,000 range, full bathroom remodels $20,000–$50,000, and full basement finishes $50,000–$120,000. We provide a free in-home consultation and a written, line-item quote so there are no surprises.
Once permits are approved and materials are on site, custom decks usually take 2–4 weeks, exterior projects 1–3 weeks, bathroom remodels 3–5 weeks, and full basement finishes 8–14 weeks. We share a real schedule before we start and update it weekly.
Utah's weather is brutal on wood — heavy snow, dry summers, and big temperature swings cause traditional decking to crack, warp, and gray quickly. Trex composite doesn't splinter, fade, stain, or rot, and it never needs sanding, staining, or sealing. It costs more upfront than pressure-treated lumber but pays for itself in the first decade.
